Republicans are at risk of losing control of Congress in the Nov. 6 elections, which could impede Trumps goals to clamp down on immigration, cut taxes, approve new bilateral trade deals, and invest in infrastructure.
Allegations of sexual misconduct against Trumps Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, have complicated his confirmation proceedings, disappointing conservative voters and energizing Democrats. Kavanaugh denies the accusations.
Trump travels first to Wheeling, West Virginia on Saturday, where Republicans are trying to unseat Democratic Senator Joe Manchin, one of a handful of senators seen as key swing votes that will determine Kavanaughs appointment.
Trump will then hold evening rallies in Johnson City, Tennessee on Monday; Southaven, Mississippi on Tuesday; Rochester, Minnesota on Thursday; and Topeka, Kansas next Saturday.

(16,254 posts)They tried to pin Obama on billing the tax payers, but he was paying through the Democratic fun. If he had a visit on business, the dept. figured out how much went to campaigning and how much to business.
There should be somewhere to find out if we are paying for these trips. There have been many and they are mainly Democratic-bashing rallies.

(18,837 posts)...the gist is that we are not paying 100%, but we are most certainly paying. Part of the way he "offsets" the cost is to schedule some "official" business on the same day and location as his "rally."

(16,254 posts)There is somewhere you can find the information but I don't have a clue where it would be.
Same with those golf trips...his kids' trips, etc. We can't survive on what his presidency has cost us in lost time and expenses. Just look at the cost of investigating, for one. The cost of immigration and that damned wall. The waste in his departments in illegal travel charges, fancy office décor, etc.
All that should be exposed before the election. I realize he isn't running, but those that are have looked away when he has pulled his shenanigans when they should have been supervising. They are as guilty as Trump.

(4,723 posts)Soapdish. A 1990s favorite of mine. The main character is a soap opera star. When she is feeling badly about herself, one of the writers takes her to the mall in Paramus, NJ. There, she is flocked by people who know her character from the show, and beg her for autographs. She is recharged by this attention. Really, that is what these rallies are for. Whenever Trump's ego is bruised, the send him out to these wingnut rallies. where the mindless automaton deplorables gather to fluff his ego.
