Kavanaugh claimed he didn't drink on weeknights but an entry on his calendar for Thursday July 1 states, “Go to Timmy’s for Skis w/ Judge, Tom, Pj, Bernie, Squi.” Kavanaugh clarified to Sen. Booker that “Skis” referred to beer. Was Kavanaugh's original statement truthful? (10/10)

2. When I was in college, Thursday night was the biggest drinking night

Many students avoided courses with Friday classes, or just skipped them.

Same thing when I was an emt years later. Many alcohol-related calls Thursday nights at the local college.

When I was young, people spoke of "brewskis" which meant beer, and "pizza" and "Mountain Dew." When my kids were young, in the nineties, they spoke of "getting some "-za" (for pizza) and "-Dew" (for Mountain Dew). I can easily see how "brewskis" would have devolved into "-skis" by the eighties.

Just considering the possibility Thursday night was effectively beginning of a 4 day school holiday, no classes Friday?
