* For what it's worth, the Senate is unlikely to pass it, according to Business Insider.

(54,770 posts)the corporate tax cuts.
While the original tax cuts were ill-advised in a period of rapidly increasing deficits and debt, we did criticize GOPers for making corporate tax cuts appear permanent, while individual tax cuts were limited. Truth is, right Congress and Prez could have changed either at any time.
Are you kidding?
Do you have any idea the number of government programs they will try to CUT or eliminate entirely ir order to pay for these Give Aways to their doners?
It's sickening..
I only hope we sweep the House AND the Senate, then the Oval Office in '20, before they do too much more damage.

At some point, we need to at least be consistent with Democratic criticism.

(29,065 posts)the words "ill advised" don't communicate a full realization of how awful these giveaways to the One Percent are, at least to me.

I would ask you only to read without pointing at each word.
What the House passed is a give away to all taxpayers in a period where its not advisable.

(128,750 posts)(with the final House/Senate conference agreement passed 398 to 23 in the House and by unanimous consent in the Senate)
The 5-year authorization of the FAA linked with some funding for disaster relief for the Carolinas. This legislation was attached as an amendment to H.R. 302 ("Sports Medicine Licensure Clarity Act of 2017" ) but is apparently still awaiting signature (I can't find anything to confirm whether it had been signed with the group of minibus appropriations & C.R this past Friday -OR- whether it's still be cleaned up before being sent to the President, which was the last requested action done on it this past Friday).
The FAA has been operating under a 6-month extension passed and signed this past March that expires tonight.
