Also, it's weird how he dances around criticizing Blasey Ford. It would make him look bad, but it's really fishy if you claim you're being persecuted by left-wing groups, etc. but you think someone assaulted her and you prayed for her. So transparently calculated. Staggering how credulous Republicans are that they believe this guy.

Keep my composure to the senate panel but I won’t overlook people lying about me. I’ll pray for their jail sentence maybe, not for them. Unless, of course they are mentally il Then I could forgive.

That snippet, just placed there, all by itself is stunning.

Almost more stunning than watching the entire thing.. cause watching the entire thing, one gets... 'used' to his sick behavior....

and more extreme, speaking as if gang rapes of girls were common at parties in that era, which seemed to have just gone on around and despite them.

The other two each speak very precisely of what they remember about the one incident they themselves experienced.

Not to say all three aren't true, just that I didn't take his statement on one as a betrayal of guilt for the others.

Even more reason, I thought, that he would go after the two who specifically accused him and no one else. Why would Swetnick bother him more than the others? I would not overlook anyone lying about me very specifically just to attack someone with vague allegations against me.

accusations themselves. A number of witnesses from those days say they don't remember those parties that way. It's understandable. Who would want to be identified now as the kind of person who would repeatedly just ignore viciously violent and depraved crimes? Especially if you never saw any and don't believe those parts of her story.

The question here is what is the truth?

That creepy article casts him in a very bad light, I'd think bad enough for anyone, with a number of details reportedly corroborated by other witnesses.

We haven't heard of witness corroborations of Ms. Swetnick's story yet.

When my ex-wife denied the truth, she used obfuscation and diversion. She turned accusations around with her own accusations of being persecuted. She sounded angry and self- righteous but really not confident. But when her denials were justified, when she was speaking truthfully, she blurted out short statements of denial with a louder and more confident voice. It's hard to explain, but I could tell when she was lying when she "explained" more than she needed to, when she needlessly added minutiae. Her statements were unnecessarily complex. Her true statements were simple and direct. Yes, he lied about many things, but- whether it really is or not- he did believe "the Swetnick thing is a joke"

I do believe he was telling the truth when he said “Swetnick is a joke,” ie he thinks he can easily beat that one. I think I would, if I were telling the truth, attack Ford and Ramirez. If he was told by his attorneys and handlers NOT to attack Ford and Ramirez, it’s because he and they believe those allegations.
