I looked up one of his albums and in the credits, I kid you not, I think he had like 10 different writers and 20 producers. For one album.

If I had all the time in the world and had access to a few writers/lyricists and 20 producers I'm pretty sure I could come up with some pretty "cool" music. These guys could record an album or farts and it would be "genius".

For you youngsters, Bobby Fischer was a brilliant World Chess Champion who, though always a little bit eccentric, became a full-blown whack-job conspiracy theorist, religious nut, and fulminating anti-Semite (despite being Jewish himself). Some psychologists thought he developed schizophrenia. Some thought it was some sort of paranoid disorder. Others just thought he "snapped". Some complicated connection in his brain that deals with social behavior just wasn't working right anymore. He eventually became an expatriate recluse who renounced his citizenship.

I think the same has happened to poor Kanye--or "ye", as he now calls himself. I think he's got a badly broken connection in his brain.

22. I didn't mean to compare them in terms of intellect or talent.

Bobby Fischer was TRULY one of a kind. He is the greatest chess player that ever lived, in my opinion.

But he was also--you must not forget--a HUGE celebrity. His match with Spassky in 1972 was covered by the media as being on par with the Olympics. Everyone in the US followed that match to see if we could beat the Russians, to claim we were at least intellectually superior to them in the depths of the Cold War. Even a rural rube like me in the heart of rightwing America followed it.

The disappointment came later when the celebrity that we had loved suddenly changed into a crazy person that no one recognized. That is happening today with people who followed ye.
