men believe women will (and do) tempt, lie, deceive to get whatever they want... it is a societal illness that permeates throughout (especially Xtians)

Men so sexually out-of-control they easily become temptable and deceived?

Coupled with an inability to be accountable for their own weakness?

She made me do it? Look at how she is dressed.

Ok. Chemistry/passion is a mystery. Without it I dare say many men wouldn't marry.

However, self-imposed contol of passions or lack thereof is not a mystery. It is a choice.

Men choose to act on urges or they choose to not act on an urge.

I believe I read somewhere that 90+% of rapes are commited by serial rapists. I guess DNA is part of the proof of this statistic. I doubt many of the elite privileged men in the USA have submitted their DNA. Or all the alumni of these all boys prep schools either.

Men seem to feel safe about sexually assaulting girls and women. What message will Kavanaughs appointment to SCOTUS send? DeVos et al are pulling back from campus assault rules created to protect co-eds. What message does that send to men?

Hunting season is open?

Time to turn the page on societal norms that allow girls, boys, and women to easily become prey for out-of-control sexual assaulters.

This feeling of entitlement that's so pervasive in upper echelon white males must stop. They're still clinging to the tattered, thread bare mantle of the past and are incapable of accepting the change that is already here. Men must realize that the "good old boy" network is over. They either adapt or they'll perish. What doesn't bend will eventually break. Well, breakin' time is here!

FWIW, as an older white male I'm relishing this dawn of a new era for women. Watching these decrepit old white Republican men finally realize that this women's movement is not going away, and their death grip on power is slowly slipping from their hands. Seeing someone so invested in the past finally swinging in the winds of change warms the cockles of my heart.

entitled rich white men are fair game to any other rich white man who wants a plaything for the evening. Because you know they are just women after all, despite their wealth and skin color. Notice the only person to die at the Charlottesville Nazi rally was a white woman.

The women who think they are safe or can't be touched if they side with these men, are just fooling themselves. True, men like Kavanaugh attack poor women but they also attack the rich white women around them. And no one, not their rich white father, not their rich husband and not their rich boyfriends or uncles is going to protect them from these predators.

Up until the early part of the last century, the 1900s, women were denied pain relief during childbirth. Why? It was believed that this was Woman’s Lot - to atone for the sins of Eve. WE were expected to endure labor pains with no relief because of the Garden of Eden story dating back in the centuries before Christ that can’t ever be confirmed or validated as objectively true. And dreamed up by some man. Women had no voice in those verbal traditions either.

I didn’t realize when I was in Catholic school during all those catechism classes and Bible studies that it was all basically mansplaining. There’s the Book of Ruth and the Book of Esther - the only books of the Old Testament involving a woman’s voice that the Church recognizes. ALL other prominent and leading voices are male.

Not the assault part, but worried that someone I'm walking behind at night thinks I'm out to get him/her. And I know I'm not alone in this feeling. One time, in college, I was walking alone at night, and there was some guy following me for a couple blocks. At one point, he yelled out "Hey, I'm not trying to follow you! I'm not a killer or something!"

it's just part of city living and walking home in the evenings when it's dark. I always try to avoid walking behind or near to any woman.

And on a related note, some of these Trumpettes may like an excuse to shoot a minority male because we're so dangerous.

And that's what has these guys so freaking scared. They don't adapt to change easily, and the women's movement is starting to bowl everyone in their way over. It's a remarkable and fascinating thing to watch. Real, permanent change taking hold in America. That's the essence of our country, and the change seems to happen so infrequently. That's why I'm enjoying this so much. History is unfolding right before our eyes, and it's a beautiful sight.

It’s ugly. It doesn’t matter if someone is telling their story at the Senate, a shelter, with friends, or a therapist, or with their partner for the umteenth time, it’s ugly and heartbreaking.

Real permanent change has to be fought for, won and safeguarded.

The winds of change may make one giddy, but your response I am enjoying this so much is inappropriate. There’s nothing to crow about and much to be done. Confronting abusive men isn’t easy, it isn’t fun, its traumatic for those who have suffered abuse - and that’s a lot of people.
