Flipping through Netflix and came across this gem of a show, which reminds me of today's turmoils.
For those that have never seen it, I highly recommend it. It describes a society that is a Republican wet dream, even has a News Network like Fox News.
Then the character V enters the Scene...
I highly recommended show for those that have never seen it.

(24,486 posts)It is the V logo with the v in red and the circle around it with blood dripping. Above it says "FREEDOM" and below it is "FOREVER". It is on my right upper arm and is large enough so there's no doubt what it is and the words are easy to read. Everybody who has seen the movie says they like it but it doesn't show unless I pull my sleeve up.
Many years ago I wore the entire V costume for Halloween. Then when Walker was elected here in Wisconsin and we had the 100,000 people demonstrating in Madison in the cold in 2011 (have we seen many 100,000 people demonstrations lately?) my 19 year old goddaughter wore it to the demonstration. Nobody realized it was a girl in the costume because she had a cold and could hard speak but would raise her fist in the air. Lots of people asked if they could have their picture taken with her.
It's a great movie and ironically my goddaughter and I just watched it a couple of months ago.

(5,339 posts)What was a comic run about the evils of totalitarianism from a British point of view turned into a "I hate Republicans" American movie. Now, I am far from a fan of Republicans, but I fully understand why Alan Moore distanced himself from the film and didn't want his name on it.
Yeah, I'm a comic book nerd. Sue me.

(14,657 posts)Portman discussed the film in a recent Buzz Feed Q&A (via Comic Book). When interviewers asked if the actress was interested in making sequels to any of the many popular films shes made over the years, Portman replied, Maybe V For Vendetta.
One of my all time fav's.
