But I get your meaning.
If that fucker starts sending me texts on the regular, I'll take my cellphone back to the carrier and work be damned.
I suspect 30 million other people will have an approximate reaction.
THAT should get someone's attention lol.

the alternative is that they allow us to text him back.
With no filter.

Thanks for the link, but for the 99.99% of the US that doesn't read the Atlantic, that alert was self-evident presidential power breathing down our necks.

Sorry, but this is a very visceral thing and the visceral wins or loses elections. The visceral can turn a democracy into a fascist state.

I do appreicate your link however.

This was developed under Obama

THIS IS A TEST of the National Wireless Emergency Alert System. No action is needed.

That's all there was, those 15 words don't seem oppressive to me.

Go talk to women in Saudi Arabia who are at risk of being stoned to death for"adultery" if they are raped. Go talk to the people who live in war torn Syria.

It's offensive to claim a test alert that has zero impact on you is oppression. Delete the silliness.

Maybe it's my carrier, but it pissed me off. I'll bet they had to call it "Presidential alert" to appease two scoops. They need to rename it. I don't want that shitweasel anywhere near my phone.

You think that's a nothingburger too?

Today's headlining DU graphic reminds us that the man whose "presidential alert" was raising many of our hackles is associating himself with Mussolini, Pinochet and Hitler. I think our fascism radar is accurate. Obama did not issue a "Presidential Alert." It was presented as a generic alert with no presidential referencing.
