None - there is no valid reason to vote for him.
He can easily side step the assault allegations and point to Kavs temperament, he can point to John Paul Steven comments and say we can't risk politicizing the Supreme Court and the Republicans can nominate someone similar to Gorsuch, who he approved. That is his out if he isn't man enough to stand up and directly address Kavs sexual assault charges.
So spare me that he has to because of the WV electorate, Bullshit. Again he can point to voting for Gorsuch, he can point to the issue of temperament and how a former Supreme Court Justice feels the same way. Doing the right thing is easy, voting to confirm means he has some serious moral issues.

(14,958 posts)Seems like Manchin might have plenty of reasons to favor an entitled, corporation-fellating, fraud-enabling, eat-the-poor gimme-tarian on the court. Given that Kavanaugh is a partisan hack who will be whatever the GOP wants him to be, and the GOP is entirely owned by corporations and billionaires and schmuck-fleecers (i.e. preachers), I could see Manchin liking him just fine on his own merits.
