I would love to see Biden run and win in 2020 https://www.politico.com/story/2018/10/05/joe-biden-2020-decision-869529
FULLERTON, Calif. By the time Joe Biden decided not to run for president in 2016, many Biden loyalists had become convinced that weak fundraising and his lack of infrastructure in early primary states would have doomed him if he ran.
What a difference now.
One month before the 2020 presidential primary begins in earnest, Biden continues to lead in early polls. He is ramping up his schedule of midterm campaign appearances and, perhaps more significantly, meeting with donors.
This week, before appearing at a rally here Thursday for several House candidates, the former vice president raised money for his American Possibilities PAC at two fundraisers in the Los Angeles area.

(14,966 posts)I think it would be better if Biden did not run. We want as much contrast between Rapeblicans and Dems as possible.

(7,447 posts)someone will win.
I really don't care who that is.
Neither should anyone else. Biden, Bernie, Harris, Booker, Warren. I don't care.
I don't care if it's Susan fucking Sarandon.
Whomever wins, you vote for them in 2020 against Trump.
Period. Done. We win.

(31,261 posts)And he picked a woman as VP, a Warren, Harris, Klobuchar, Gillibrand (no apologies to her haters, zero), he would be a slam-dunk to win, unlike McCain, he would have a competent second.

(30,736 posts)He and Obama made a great team. He has expressed his regrets for how he behaved over the Anita Hill hearings. Has anyone else done that?
I like Joe.
It is early to speculate. We have one month to take back the House. I want to concentrate on that instead of trashing our former Vice President.

(25,183 posts)who can get support from all of the parts that make up the Democratic Party. Yes, he says goofy stuff sometimes, but even when he does, he looks like a Rhodes scholar next to Trump.
We risk having the party torn asunder by having too many 15% candidates. I don't see how any female candidates will do well in SC, whereas I do think that Joe Biden could win the primary here. That may change as different candidates announce, but I don't see how any others who have been mentioned will have a chance here. I would expect President Obama to back Biden up, and that will help him with African-Americans in SC.

(2,495 posts)be driven by the righteous anger of women, I think Joe is a bad choice. Whatever he may have done for women in his career he doesn't appear to have absorbed appropriate behavior in his own actions. I hate posting this, and the source is no doubt not someone on our side, but they also didn't invent the clips.

(31,261 posts)And state upfront that he will pick a competent female VP. That serves two purposes in my mind. I think that he is the only democrat that can ironclad beat a moralsless scoundrel like Trump, and we elect a female VP. I have become convinced that the only way that we will get a female President is if she serves as a VP under a competent President.

(20,185 posts)It's hardly a slam dunk because they have to carry any baggage from the President they served with, but get little credit for anything good that happened. Just ask Humphrey, Mondale, and Gore. I'd rather Warren just run.

(31,261 posts)If you look back at our last two Dem Presidents, their seconds or high official in the Admin was well positioned to win, but got tripped up by people claiming to have similar values.
But, I like Warren, she has a ton of energy and is sharp witted. The only thing that I think she need to work on is the breathing draw that she starts taking when she gets on a roll when speaking.

(12 posts)A well liked, vice-president of an extremely successful administration, elder statesman. Nobody's perfect but he can beat the orange Hitler with the Mid-West union voters.
