I suspect he is no longer among the living; I haven't seen him post since DU2.

It makes me sad.

However, he thought this a grave waste of time.

I saw him active a few months ago in what does carry his interest...

She was a Putin lover and was spewing some propaganda which he exposed.

She hated America. I wondered about her for a long time, but now that the anti-everything online crowd was exposed, it explains a lot.

I will reply to you first and only....

What I know- he was rather tired and fatigued with the debates here on DU. He shared this with me in several private chats.

I do know that he found far more enjoyment in one of several personal endeavors. My last conversation with him was off-site.

I think it was 3-4 years ago since we chatted. It was a personal chat involving a major interest of his - not for conversation here

So, summary - I doubt he will be back on DU - the quality bored him significantly. If he does, then I will be very grateful as he is one the people who I consider a great friend here....

I too feared the worst since when he was last here he was recovering poorly after major heart surgery.

Glad to know he's still among the living.

He could quickly root out the bullshit in any argument without being rude. It was always such a wonder to behold.

I remember him well backing me up in some intense arguments over the Ukrainian crisis in 2014 against posters who were either unknowingly or knowingly pushing Kremlin propaganda.

That is one turkey you could never get all the way down to the bones before it stank up the fridge....

When things are not called by their right names, what is said cannot make sense. When what is said does not make sense, what is planned cannot succeed. When plans do not succeed, people become uneasy. When people are uneasy, punishments do not fit crimes. When punishments do not fit crimes, people cannot know where to put hand or foot.

What was your posting name back in the day, ZZenith?

I see that you joined DU this past August, but you must be a long-time DUer if you remember the Magistrate. I know that a lot of posters lost their log-in credentials after the 2016 hack and had to rejoin with a different name.

Welcome back to DU!

I initially joined in 2004 but quit posting during the primary fiasco in 2016. Never posted all that much so I doubt you’d recognize my old name. DU kept me relatively sane during the Bush regime and I am hoping it can do the same for me now.
