This is why I knew from the time the controversy errupted that it wouldnt matter. The GOP was willing to take any kind of political hit they would take to capture the prize they've coveted for decades. It was fait accompli, people here just didnt want to accept it.

The ONLY thing they cared about was that the nominee was a Repuke too. They could not imagine any other standard to use to judge aye vs nay.
