If machine tampering was possible, why didn't it happen in Alabama, Virginia or Pennsylvania?

15. I read somewhere last summer

(sorry I don’t remember where so can’t quote the source) that a group of college kids figured out how the machines had gotten tampered with. I didn’t hear anymore about it and was thinking they may have been paid off.
