We need to start researching how to defeat a John Kasich - Nikki Haley ticket in 2020
Kasich hasn't stopped running even after dropping out in 2016 and I think Haley's departure is designed to free her up for fund-raising.
Trump will quell any impeachment talk by promising not to run for re-election. Of course, he will declare himself to be winning and express a desire to get back to making zilions of dollars.

1. We will need to beat the woman assaulting racist in the WH.
I have no idea how you get to the thought that Kasich can win the Republican primary.

2. No, we don't.
No need to waste our time -- Trump will be on the ticket.

3. I do t think they'll run
until 2024. However, talking about their potential bid is worthwhile. I’m hopeful Haley’s unflinching support of the Pussy Grabber In Chief will hurt her chances with female voters. I don’t foresee women being less pissed off as we move forward.

14. Yep, not to mention that the corruption stories on Haley are starting to come out.
There are already at least a couple of posts here on DU linking to stories abut her taking illegal gifts in the form of private jet flights. It's probably why she's stepping down from her current position. This cockroach is trying to scurry back into the woodwork before brighter lights get shined on her. Too bad she didn't notice that most of the cracks were filled in while she was at the UN, and she likely won't be able to hide any longer. I bet the corruption is far deeper than the plane rides, too. Time to start digging into her days in South Carolina politics. I think a lot of people are going to be surprised at what a facade her "squeaky clean" image is.

6. If they run they won't win the primary
Trump has the repuke voter base wrapped around his finger.
He'll just resort to nonsensical name calling and his Cretan supporters will turn on Haley and Kasich, like nobodies business. |

There might be a Repug who can beat him but it isn't Kasich.

19. Yes, what we need to do is focus on the . . .
election in front of us. First step: win massively in November by getting our voters to the polls and then we work to put the brakes to the runaway Trumpster Train.

18. haley will not oppose trump
she is moving to another appountment, maybe senator from sc. still, opposition research is a good idea.
if trump does not run for reelection for any reason i might expect a new, meaner cruz or rubio. not kasich. |
