Turks say they have audio and video of Khashoggi's murder.

Turks tell U.S. officials they have audio and video recordings that support conclusion Khashoggi was killed

The Turkish government has told U.S. officials that it has audio and video recordings that prove Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi was killed inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul this month, according to U.S. and Turkish officials.

The recordings show that a Saudi security team detained Khashoggi in the consulate after he walked in Oct. 2 to obtain an official document before his upcoming wedding, then killed him and dismembered his body, the officials said.

The audio recording in particular provides some of the most persuasive and gruesome evidence that the Saudi team is responsible for Khashoggi’s death, the officials said.

This could turn into a big deal, depending on who does what with it.

For all the "incredibly high and well-placed people say", what they're saying is, "We were told that this is what's on the tapes. By who? By the Turks. But while we're telling you that we absolutely know what's on the tapes, we're really just trusting the Turks' portrayal. No word if we'll ever actually see the tapes. What? You doubt that the Turks speak only truth?"

But to say something like : "somehow, I tend to doubt it" is just, I don't know, being stupid on purpose. Or purposely vague

I think he saw/heard the evidence himself, or our intelligence agencies have and told him about it, and he is trying to cast dispersions and muddy the waters to protect 110 billion arms deal

When our intel agencies receive this kind of advance knowledge, it is their MORAL OBLIGATION to warn the target.

FFS, no less than the FBI warned John Gotti that he was being set up for a hit by another Family.

How did they NOT warn this man ?

Something about the possibility that Jared gave the Saudi prince a list of his enemies and Koshoggi was on that list. OR.....it might have been that the Saudi prince gave Jared a list of HIS enemies and Koshoggi was on it.

Anyone have the details of this?

Gave the Saudis classified material about their enemies, and the Crown Prince gave Jared enough cash to bail him out on the upcoming debt on the property at 666 Fifth avenue.

I just don't understand how an Orthodox Jew would collude with the Wahabi Saudis, who would wipe Israel off the map in a nano.

I guess money really does grease all wheels. How reprehensible.

The business when Jared went suddenly there for a couple of days and many enemies of the Crown Prince were what -- deposed?

The fact that Saudis buy Trump real estate.

That bidness with the Yemen blockade and Jared's alleged involvement.

Something's really dirty.

I fear that when all is revealed, we will find out the US Advisers (Kirchner) sold out this journalist to the Saudis so that they could silence him, and remove his name from the enemies list. I just don't think anyone thought that the Saudis would do the unprecedented and kill him on Embassy grounds, then dismember him and remove him from the building.

This - depending on how Erdogan handles it - could become a real flash point over there. The tensions between the prinicipals are already at an all time high. Powder keg tense.

The Turks, Saudis and Iranians are not friends. With that said...

This was a chance for Turkey to stick it to the Saudi's and the USA. Why the USA? Our refusal to hand over a cleric and our sanctions on Turkey. And who knows, Erdogan was warned by Moscow about a coup attempt in the works, who wants to bet the USA was implicated in some way, anywhere from being a sponsor to knowing about it and refusing to pass on the information.

And true, the Turks haven't exactly done us any favors, they are a cold war relic. Accepted into NATO for the only purpose that Turkey didn't want to become a Satellite State, along with having a dire history with the Russian and Ottoman Empire's, and we wanted another strategic border region with the Soviet Union. If anything, more likely to see war break out between two NATO members, Turkey and Greece.

Bottom line, Ankara just made us look really bad in the international community. We are nation that trumpets free press...and ain't doing jack shit, and possibly helped, get a journalist killed because of his outspoken opinions. Our "President's" response, no sanctions because;

1. Military Arms deal that benefits the USA...particularly red states.

2. It's becoming obvious, Saudi's bail out Kushner, he supplies them a hit list.

This will be obvious to the rest of the world....and there goes our credibility, yet again. The "worlds greatest democracy" is a corrupt sham.

And what scares me, Erdogan, Putin, et. al. may actually be right about that.
