The R's just would have dragged it out so they ended it quickly. WE DO NOT CONTROL THE GOD DAMNED SENATE. GO VOTE!!!
Power begets power! If you don't like Republican judges, then GO VOTE.

(3,259 posts)To be fair, a lot of it is so well written, and taps directly into emotion instead of critical thinking, that one does not necessarily have to be an idiot to buy in. People really need to question what they read and its clear there are a lot of people who simply read headline after headline, questioning only that which makes them feel uncomfortable, when cementing their own beliefs.

It was a wise move, and we got something in return for it.

The only way to stop this insanity is to drag everyone to the polls.
There is a Democrat campaign that needs the energy. The time spent fretting could be spent making a call, knocking on a door, providing something to eat for the other volunteers.
GOTV!!!
Because voters hate to see Dems fighting for what they believe in. Rolling over and capitulating, that's how votes are won!

(14,249 posts)cannot win while NOT being where they need to be fighting a battle they can win and that will then allow them to fight that battle in DC is ridiculous.
The Dems don't need to stay in DC voting no on confirmations that will go through anyway when they should be spending their time, resources and energy out in the country building up their numbers so that after January their NO votes will actually make a difference.
Insisting that they fight losing battles just for show completely misses the big picture. Not fighting a losing battle is NOT "rolling over and capitulating." Focusing on fighting losing battles instead of fighting battles they actually can win IS the very definition of stupidity.

(1,483 posts)We are desperate for heroes, but if I had popped into this thread saying, "Of course we can't expect Democratic Senators to do anything." as she did I would be (rightly) dog-piled and possibly kicked out of DU for trolling.
I have my eye on Rachel. I like the research her staff does. But why kick D Senators NOW. Wtf.
