"The Trump administration is proposing to dramatically limit the right to demonstrate near the White House and on the National Mall. The proposed rule changes were made by the National Park Service, which administers the areas. The proposal, which threatens First Amendment rights, would close 80 percent of the White House sidewalk, put new limits on spontaneous demonstrations, and open the door to charging fees for protesting."

(23,181 posts)Charging money for protesting? That sounds a lot like charging a poll tax for voting. We live in a free Democracy, except for the "free" part I guess. What's next, privatizing citizenship? All the rights that money can buy...
