http://www.theeagle.com/article/20120813/BC0101/120819835/1004/BC0101Chris Northcliffe was a kind and gentle man. He and I instantly connected through our love of Democratic politics. We first met when I organized an opposition demonstration to our republican representative's townhall meeting last summer. He was a champion of the progressive cause and a wonderful human being.
I will miss you forever, Chris.

(69,014 posts)I once read a Civil War era letter containing a hope that was really a mother's prayer: that when her newborn came to die, his community would be glad he had lived.
Chris Northcliffe sounds like a man who fulfilled that.

(3,736 posts)to you and to your friend's family. It is so difficult to lose anyone that we care about but to lose someone in such a senseless, tragic manner is difficult to comprehend.
May you find peace in your memories of your wonderful friend.
