Avenatti shows us just how to deal with Trump and ANY bully: SMASH THEM DOWN HARDER! And GOOD!

Avenatti is such a breath of fresh air. Dems/Progressives have got to stop allowing GOP thugs like Trump and all the rest to walk all over them. There is no playing nicey-nice with bullies. There is no "being the better person" with them. Because they feed on domination and cruelty. There is no reforming them. There is no talking to them and reasoning with them. They perceive that as total surrender. If you don't smash them down, they will just continue to attack and violate you. In fact, they will get worse. The only way to stop a physical bully out in the world is to hit back even harder. (I have a good friend who was being taunted and physically threatened by a big bully co-worker. Let me just say that he finally had enough and ended the problem on the construction site with a two-by-four wooden plank. THE BULLY WAS DONE! END OF PROBLEM!)

The ONLY way to deal with nasty bullies is to SMASH THEM HARDER! It is ALL they will EVER understand. And that is just what Avenatti said so well and so truthfully on CNN yesterday. And then he wonderfully proceeded to repeatedly call Trump a "disgrace" and also a "moron." And Stormy Daniels called Trump "tiny" and said he was into "beastiality" and it was "game on". Good. MORE MORE MORE.

Want to make Traitor Don's ears steam? Want to push him into a coronary? Want to drive his cultist followers nuts? Call him a BABY DONNIE and say it 1000 times. He has confessed that the baby name is what steams him up the most. Drive it right at him and them all the time.

And it is SO fitting. He IS certainly the ultimate MAN BABY.

36. Lol. Sorry, but couldn't disagree more. There are reasons

why Avenatti searches out salacious scandals to get himself in front of cameras. That's who he is.
He wouldn't be interested in working behind the scenes as part of a team to get OTHER people in front of cameras and in office.

They're very closely related, of course, to the reasons you've been lead to admire Avenotti instead of the people who hire him. His name leads every story he's involved with, not theirs, and he's gotten far more from it than they have. His batting record for his clients isn't very good at all. In fact, he's not done very well promoting himself either -- yes, he's become nationally famous, but that same exposure has lead a lot of people to become very unimpressed with him.

Think about it. Always examine their actions to see who people are.

"We" are very welcome to see me that way. I don't see any indication that my invitation to think about Avenotti was accepted, but it did lead to this, so fine.

Nor am I, btw, among those counterparts on the right who've leaped to admire Kavanaugh for partisan reasons instead of good character. Or any other big names with low standards who put their own interests before those of our nation.

61. :) Thanks 7962, and Violet. People are very anxious

and worked up these days, and no wonder.

I agree with your general feelings on this subject, of course. Avenatti managed to get under Trump's skin, and although I don't want to see Nancy or Kamala calling Trump "Tiny," I have no problem at all with Stormy doing it.

I would definitely prefer, though, that a person who barely legally extorted money from a client to keep quiet not run for the U.S. senate (!!!) again. Same for the attorney who sought fame by trying to help her break that sleazy contract.

Our nation really, really needs the Democratic Party to protect our standards from from where today's Republicans would drown them, not follow them down into the diseased muck.

3. I think he is getting worse every day.

Acting more and more like a child. He is little more than a child throwing temper tantrums. Itís beyond sad that this is what some are excited about. Childish twitter fueds between morally and ethically challenged individuals. Name calling and insults.

I feel people are going to be shocked if Avenatti rises to the level that Democrats feel itís time to vet him. I think he will hold just short of that point. He is a flame throwing bully who likes the attention.

Letís not work toward elevating another online bully with a questionable past and no experience. Republicans have become that desperate. We look to be poised to win without Trump like individuals.

Enjoy Avenatti before his grand fall. It is fun.

Iíll elevate quality individuals and real fighters like Harris. Iíll even take the fight of Sanders over someone like Avenatti. At least Sanders educates and moves the spectrum. Two things Avenatti is completely unfamiliar with.

I hope people realize that the elevation of a self-absorbed personality to counter the egomaniac in the White House is likely to simply dilute any dignity in our government even further. Name calling, innuendo and threats don't win over new voters or restore sanity to the process. I would also point out there have been a lot of empty threats.

people in our government have been saying and doing? I'll take Avenatti's and our First Lady of Porn's "self-absorbed personalities" over any of these people in our government any day. There is no fucking dignity in our government, they are nothing more than self absorbed thieves, idiots, and fools on the world stage . The Republicans have seen to that. Those empty threats? That's on the Republicans and their bootlickers.

11. You almost nailed it,

just replace the word entertainment with narrative or talking points. What you don't get is that Republicans have a big advantage over Democrats because cable news, the corporate media controls the narrative favorable to Republicans. What you don't get is that Michael Avenatti is one of the few Democrats who can change the corporate media's narrative. What you don't get, at least IMO, is that Republicans fear Avenatti, it's why as soon as he announced that he may run for president there was an immediate right wing campaign to trash him.

Frankly, I don't know that much about Avenatti, but I do know that Republicans fear him.

Did you see what Beto O'Rourke did to Lyin Ted in their debate? He attacked him, now you can call his attacks entertainment but the corporate media is talking about Beto's message today and not Cruz.'

I'm betting his cases will have been tossed or lost by then, as has already started, and he'll be shown for what he is.
Probably have his TV show for the election season.
Then maybe we can focus on the REAL candidates that can actually win.

15. Avenatti has been a breath of fresh air

Since 2000, Democrats have taken the attitude to not engage against the hostile attacks of the GOP, rise above it, if they go low, we go high, and what has it gotten us? It has gotten us two of the worst Presidents in the history of the Country, Dotard and W, and in both cases we have allowed these two and their enablers to drive the narrative with little or no resistance. John Kerry is a coward that fudged his service record, Hilary is a criminal that needs locked up, etc., these attacks are just a tip of the iceberg, but essentially these attacks received little response in counter attacks towards two highly flawed candidates in W and Dotard. People like Avenatti, at least hit back and don't allow the crooks to drive the narrative, which is what has been lacking from our side for way too long. It's too bad that people on our side want to attack a man like Avenatti, that brings passion and fire to the game, something that has been missing for many years. We are the party of organized labor, the party that opposes racism, the party that opposes poverty, we should stand strong and incorporate some of Avenatti's tactics to battle a force that has no low point as far as they will go.

Did you watch Rachel last night? Gary Hart was set up by Republicans, he was leading in the polls. A woman jumped on his lap and the picture was taken and the story published in the Enquirer. Dirty politics cost Hart the presidency. I'm not saying that Democrats should ever stoop to that Karl Rove level, but yes, I agree with you, John Kerry was a war hero and George Bush went AWOL from his Guard duty but Kerry didn't push back fast enough and strong enough.

I mean, my god, I don't know what the Clintons can do. There has been so much muck piled on top of them they will never be able to see the light of day, and that is shameful. What is more shameful is that millions of Americans believe the outrageous lies.

I grew up a military brat. Moved into schools in the middle of the year many times. I was NOT the athlete who would immediately get positive attention, I was the opposite. Black military issue glasses, skinny kid. So I got picked on instantly when I would enter a class. I learned early on that the best way to defeat those kids was to either laugh along with them, or make others laugh at MY jokes. I also learned what reverse psychology was before I ever hear the term. Worked for me all thru school and I never really had any fights being the new kid.
Trump is the same as those kids I went to school with all over the world. Ignore him, laugh at his attempts at insult & play him.

42. I agree. I was being VERY generous....

...But unfortunately too many people have too much of their careers invested in advancing the misguided idea that what anyone actually wants is "bipartisanship" and that it wins any voters whatsoever. So instead of course correcting, we double down on failed approaches.

46. You REALLY think that would ever happen with his past?

he's had several large judgements against him, including not paying his taxes. He would be red meat.

35. I don't like Avenatti's style... but...

We cannot sit passively by.

When the Con lies, call him out and make fun of him. When he insults, call him Mushroom Dick or Tiny.

I don't like doing nasty stuff, but this is war. Do we want to win?

47. OK, its tough to argue with the "tiny" part. I may be convinced to go along with that.

Because its probably the biggest insult u could give him

Even bigger than insulting his business acumen

56. LMB20? Do you have a Twitter Account?

Now that Avenatti has shown the way, you know that you can SMASH them down HARD AND GOOD via Tweet also, right?

63. Ah, and the "high road" has just done us so much good hasn't it. Don't worry, I smash them down

a-plenty in local newspaper comments sections and to their rank and files' faces from time to time. And it is about our LEADERS smashing down THEIR. I am not serving in office. The party needs BACKBONE again. Not "hope." Not "the high road." That's all just code language for WEAKNESS!

67. Yes, but if you @ someone on Twitter

There is a very good chance they will see it.

Fewer and fewer people are reading the paper. Sadly.
