Is it worth it

Thinking more. I actually stopped watching cable news a couple of months ago. The format just started to bother me. I blamed it on wanting to more reporting and less talking heads telling me what to think about what happened. I really don't miss it.

We both see what a weasely liar John Kennedy is. Our minds aren't getting changed. Maybe having him on serves some journalistic purpose. I think he adds nothing useful to the conversation.

Having him on is valuable for ratings. Ok nothing wrong with paying the bills. What did the casual listener hear? Kennedy got challenged and said that the other side, at least some of them, wanted to cut all ties with the Saudis. That is, the other side isn't any better.

The format of cable news is a problem. I don't have any great ideas for how to change it for the better. Things I would like would probably tank ratings.
