It's hard to believe but we must accept the truth. It's no longer Democrats vs Republicans.

Its democracy vs fascism and it's staring us right in our face. We are in danger and we must recognize it and call it out. We are at war, a war of ideas. It is a war that over 400,000 Americans fought and died for in the 1940s.

Voter suppression and rigging elections is an act of fascism.

Trying to destroy the free press and replacing it with a government run propaganda press (Fox News) is an act of fascism.

Trying to take over and control the entire justice department, the courts is an act of fascism.

Corporate control is a form of fascism.

The Trump voters are civic and history imbeciles. Most of them do not know history. They do not know how democracy works and they cannot recognize fascism. Some of them know fascism because thats what they want. Most of them are following fascism and don't even know it. It is very dangerous.

Whats happening here is happening in countries around the world. It's starting to rhyme with the 1930s.

The 2018, 2020 elections are a fight, a war against fascism. We have to recognize the truth as unbelievable as it is.

When the democrats take control of the house they must take action. Some Tea Party members of the house in my opinion are fascists. They need to be called in front of the ethics committee. They have broke their oath of office and committed crimes.
It must be exposed to the American people. Trump must be removed before it is to late.

In my humble opinion I believe we are on a path to world war. There is still time to get off that path, but time is getting short.

I saw all the signs but thought no way this will happen. This is America something will stop it.

What happened recently forced me to recognize the truth.

A journalist was murdered and the imposter president is helping them cover it up. He basically said, We will let the murderer investigate the murder. Are you fucking kidding me.

What they are doing to the Indians in North Dakota is flat out evil. The voter suppression in Georgia, people pulled off a bus on the way to the polls. The supreme court pick. I could go on and on but I have seen enough. We are in danger.

I have been worried that he will find any reason to declare martial law before the elections, just to shut them down and seize power.

I used to be one of the voices on the Left urging restraint when calling the Bush regime “fascist”. As bad as they were, calling them fascist was an exaggeration.

Not so with this bunch. They’re doing everything a fascist government would do. The only thing holding them back are our increasingly weak institutions and Constitution.

Democratic control of, at least, the House is imperative for our survival as the USA we all recognize.

Another story about manipulation of social media

https://www.timesofisrael.com/israeli-firm-proposed-social-media-manipulation-campaign-for-trump-report/

A
n Israeli firm under investigation by the FBI was approached by a senior official from Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign to use social media manipulation on Trump’s behalf and against his rivals, including by creating thousands of fake online identities, according to a report Monday.

Psy-Group created several secretive proposals for the Trump campaign at the behest of Rick Gates, who has since pleaded guilty and offered to cooperate with the FBI probe into foreign meddling in the US election, The New York Times reported.

According to the report, Psy-Group, which employed former Israeli intelligence officers before undergoing liquidation, offered to engineer campaigns in support of Trump using social media manipulation against both Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and Republican Senator Ted Cruz, whom the campaign feared could attempt to push an insurgent nomination effort at the Republican Convention in Cleveland.

Hitler banned all Newspapers that did not agree with his actions and in fact more or less required those to praise his actions. Oh there is much more and if you listen to Trump's speeches there is definitely similarities in the tone. (one of Trumps ex-wives said that Trump kept a book of Hitler's Speeches in a cabinet by his bed)
It is truly Democracy and the Constitution vs Fascism.Republicans don't care if we have a Free Constitutional Democracy as long as they can maintain their wealth and even increase it.

nation falling under control of the type of people currently in power, everyone should read

The Authoritarians, by Bob Altemeyer
https://www.theauthoritarians.org/

This book is a lay version of a seminal scholarly study of these people that is available FREE for download because the author felt it was and is critically important for people to understand. It's extremely readable and surprisingly enjoyable for what has become something of a horror story.

Many studies, most hidden behind heavily technical jargon on subscription sites to avoid attack and suppression, have followed and all have further developed and enlarged on this base research. It's findings have never been disproved and are still extremely timely.

In August, Dr. Altemeyer added a new essay to the site linked, "Why Do Trump’s Supporters Stand by Him, No Matter What?" In an era when worst fears are becoming realized, his writing is more sober than before.

Regarding WWIII, pay attention in the book to what authoritarians did when given a chance to "rule the world." In an era of weapons of mass destruction and most of 7 billion people cannot survive without complex support systems, we are in far graver dangerthan we realize.

happening on the right, and found it even more interesting because it explains so much.

John Dean's taken what he's learned from these studies and applied them to people and events in all the Republican administrations during and since Nixon, and those are very interesting reads also. These people are what went wrong in Nixon's WH, and their insidious activities and changes during Bush II's administration were a forerunner to what's being done during Trump's.

They can't govern their way out of a paper bag but they can definitely destroy nations.

I reminded him that Hitler totally supported large corporations while taking away everyone else's rights, just like his repug party does. He ended regulations on them, just like his party does and uses the party to torture and kill minorities, just like his party. Fascists are definitely ring wingers, so now like drumpf, they are accusing us of the tactics they use and even trying to call us by their names, fascists.
