I live in East TN

but am visiting in northern Indiana. I can assure the political ads here are just as nasty as at home. The women candidates here (Jackie Warloski) and at home Marsha Blackburn do not make this woman thinking about voting for them ever.

I'm not sure whether to laugh or to be infuriated by Blackburn's current ad that literally says "Phil Bredesen wants to bring you single payer healthcare, Marsha Blackburn wants "better healthcare options", whatever the hell that means!

Smack dab between Nashville and Knoxville. I especially love the ad by Marsha Blackburn that said Bredesen made it legal for illegals to get drivers licenses. He wasn't even the Governor at the time.

Ya know, I'm glad for all the love Beto is getting. However, I wish the spotlight would shift over this way just a little bit. You woulda thunk that after Taylor Swift opened up on who she would vote for, but it hasn't been anything like the Beto Cruz race in Texas.

candidate for Governor here in Colorado keeps running ads that the Dem candidate wants universal health care! The horror! I don't think it will have the effect he thinks it will.

actually get sick or injured. There's a reason those plans are cheaper. They don't conver anything.

There's a really nasty race in my new congressional district that Paul Ryan has thrown millions at with racially charged ads of the worst kind. We had to move to be closer to family and deliberately picked a place in this district.

When you think the mud slinging can't get worse the republicans give up on flinging mud and stick to feces. Animals at the zoo have better manners.

of the governor's office. One for the history books in many ways.

Interestingly, although there are dirty, dishonest ads (they can't help themselves), it's looking like her being black is suppressing some lines of attack the way Barack Obama's did. Apparently they think seeming too racist could backfire on them. So she's left-wing extremist, for gun control, doesn't handle her money well, soft on child sex traffickers, all in that signature insinuatingly sneering, snide tone right-wing attack ads use. (And liberal/Democratic ads never do.)

The Republicans are being forced to prove their commitment to protecting Georgia values by attempting to steal the election with astonishing brazenness. The commitment to winning, at least, is a sign of the strong leadership that many conservative voters naturally approve, even if they don't like him.
