Even if you are in a safe Blue Congressional District and State, please VOTE

I live in Manhattan, NY. The Democrats here are shoo-ins, but I'm still planning to vote because I want the Democratic party to get more votes overall. My vote won't decide a close election, but it will still send a message.

I agree about voting no matter what. My Congressional district (Virginia 4th) is safe D with Donald McEachin, and our Senate candidate is Tim Kaine. I want their victories to be enormous.

Plus we have to ensure that Tish James gets elected Attorney General.

Nothing should be taken for granted, even in a "blue" state.

"When Democrats Vote. . .Democrats Win"

That's the battle cry of our soon-to-be (I hope) State Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.

I house/pet sat for my cousin while she was on vacation and they received 3 or 4 a day. Her neighborhood is much more upscale (and younger) than mine, but I was very happy to see that the yard signs heavily favored Democratic candidates.

My vote was mailed last week as I will be an Election Judge in a couple weeks.

I will definitely vote. Everyone needs to vote even if they are in the darkest blue or red area. Every vote for a democrat sends a message to the republicans.

ALL Americans, and this includes higher wages for all, health care for all under the ACA, and we're not racists, bigots, haters of immigrants, we respect women, believe in firm law enforcement and security on all fronts, and that we are the largest party in America by far. We also don't lie either, but tell it as it is truly, vs. the constant spew of lies and mistruths being spewed out by rump.

Please help with GOTV where your knocks may decide a seat. Go to Swing Left and locate your nearest swing district.

How blue is my district? So blue that the GOP candidate for congress doesn't even bother to put a statement in the local voter's guide. So blue that there isn't a single sign up for any Republican candidate for any office - including governor.

The most hotly contested races here are all local - city council, school board, and a bunch of propositions. I'm happy to see that we have 2 people under 30 running for school board!

Yes it will! Thank you!

Sadly, I recently read online where someone slyly suggested the OPPOSITE and encouraging "sending a message" of a different type. (presumably: write-ins or third-party or other non-Democratic party candidates) More of the Sarandonesque "teaching a lesson" and letting them know that "votes must be earned"... blah-blah-blah. Typical malcontent bullshit that's largely to blame for the situation we find ourselves in today.

Great OP, Yavin4!

in the center of Minneapolis. I vote every election. I'm not worried about our congressional race. I'm worried about our state-wide races for governor and AG.

Keith Ellison is in for a tough race for AG I think against that creep Wardlow. Also, we are electing both senators this time around (and will be again in 2020) because of what happened to Al Franken.
