Transportation to polling places is one of the variables often linked to low voter turnout. According to voting data from the U.S. Census Bureau, nearly 500,000 people who didn't vote in the 2016 presidential election cited "transportation problems" as the reason.
Uber says it will be working with #VoteTogether and Democracy Works to provide free rides to voters.

I can offer rides all day up until 3:30 pm my kid has a piano lesson at 4. Im available again at 5:30pm until the polls close.

I can't find a place in the "blue" area I'm in. It's been discouraging the number of apartment dwelling millennial s that admit that they aren't registered to vote. But they are way outta my region, and most likely in "red" areas, they are as likely to vote Trump based as me, so I'm nto all that willing to drive them too the pollls.
