A "liar" is not to be trusted.

Donald Trump is a pathological liar. He is a very adept liar. "Some people say" he lies even when the truth would serve him better. He feels equally comfortable with the "big lie" or the "small lie". Most of his "small lies" are told to buttress his "big lies". He builds his own stories with these lies.

It's hard to argue that his followers are naive to these lies. They accept his lies as spoils of their victory.

They should simply say the Con continued to lie about the following - end of story.
