People of color had better get off their asses and vote, or they'll be relegated to permanent underclass status. It will only get worse for them. They'll lose standing in Courts everywhere BECAUSE they're non-white. This is the beginning. Trumpy will dismiss the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. HE WILL. Bank on it. If he isn't shut down by an overwhelming vote against him, he wins. As much as the Dems and the never-trumpers scream for Democratic House, MILLIONS won't listen and won't care, because they deny the danger that exists to their livelihoods and the chances for success for their children and grandchildren. It's not hyperbole that this is the most important election in the history of the nation. The Constitution is at stake. Fascists are waiting for a total takeover. And we're all watching it happen.

These aren't rabid dogs rushing to the border to kill us all. These are human beings fleeing godforsaken circumstances and walking to our border to apply for legal asylum. If they try to hop the border, they will likely be rounded up and deported back. This isn't anything new and none of us should buy into how this is "helping the Republicans."

The ONLY idiots in this country who buy into the fear-mongering are the folks who already love Trump and who already hate brown people. If you think that if the caravan stopped and waited until after the election to get here, then those same folks you see making comments on FB would vote Democrat - I've got bridges in every country to sell you. Just send me a blank check.

Guys, don't spread this. You're playing into the hands of Trump. Correct people and educate them. Point out that this is a caravan of refugees, many who are desperate, many women and children (not that men should be vilified). This is not a crisis in the least for those idiot, inbred, privileged, pearl-clutching white folks.

God, I hate white trash and anyone who associates with them. Horrible people. I know them all too well, sadly.

But just remarking on what I'm hearing. Since Republicans view the Democrats as wanting illegal immigration, having a caravan of thousands headed here, after the U S just turned a caravan away, just brings the issue front and center again, and gets them riled up.

Some of the caravan are carrying flags. That's been mentioned as a reason to consider it more an invasion than seeking refuge. Refugees don't carry flags, they say.

The timing for another caravan is bad. Anything that gets them to the polls...is bad for Democrats. But maybe they're already riled up, so the caravan won't hurt that much.

This is a collection of posts regarding the caravan in a bipartisan group. It has over 100 pages of posts on the topic. It is a hot topic. http://www.city-data.com/forum/politics-other-controversies/2976523-another-caravan-way-will-arrive-before.html

I can't wait until they take their post card size taxes to a tax preparer and realize the reason they have been getting a little bit more money is because their employers deducted less. That big return they used to get may not be there for them.

I'm a contractor so I never have taxes withheld. But the vast majority of people get a pay stub that shows deductions. Haven't the tax tables been adjusted downward? It strikes me that people would already know how much they have benefited. To some degree at least.

Now the final verdict strikes me as a total crapshoot. Especially if you've itemized in the past. April should be interesting.

48. For those who don't know......Godwin's Law...as defined by google. (link in a moment)
Tue Oct 23, 2018, 08:36 PM
Oct 2018

....A term that originated on Usenet, Godwin's Law states that as an online argument grows longer and more heated, it becomes increasingly likely that somebody will bring up Adolf Hitler or the Nazis. When such an event occurs, the person guilty of invoking Godwin's Law has effectively forfieted the argument.

For example, there is a tradition in many newsgroups and other Internet discussion forums that, when a Hitler comparison is made, the thread is finished and whoever made the comparison loses whatever debate is in progress.[7] This principle is itself frequently referred to as Godwin's law.[8]

Link...Wikipedia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law

So..to make the argument totally clear...What is being said is since Joe Scar..has brought up the comparison to Hitler...it means that Joe Scar...is also a Nazi sympathizer, since he brought up the topic...He looses the argument since he brought it up..according to Godwin's Law.. That is what everyone is saying, isn't it?..

I don't know if Joe is or isn't a Nazi,...But as pointed out earlier..Trump admired Hitler and loves the adulation..To put a check on Trump...We and everyone who agrees that Trump is dangerous....MUST VOTE..IN 2 WEEKS
