Even if it were only 1,000 miles, it would be over 50 miles per day on foot, so 19 days doesn't make sense.

He mentioned using the military, but in what way he was not specific. As usual.

so Trump can't "call it out." In time of war Congress can subordinate the National Guard to the regular army IIRC but there is still a posse commitatus law the proscribes mobilizing federal troops on US soil. I'm pretty sure the NG has training excercises with the regular army all the time, so they may try to sneak something in as one of those.

We need to take Congress back to rein him in, especially on issues like this.

Trump has the authority to close the US-Mexico border, and, obviously, DHS has all the resources necessary to close and hold any port of entry they choose, and at any time. No military assets are required, certainly not in a situation where the US has 14-21 days of lead time before any "crisis at the border," real or imagined.

What Trump doesn't have is the courage to actually make a decision and deal with the consequences. As always, he is a physical, moral, and mental coward, who can't stand being responsible for any truly demanding or challenging decision.

He's yellow, and he always has been.

Trump whill whine about it, like usual, and his minions will pretend he's doing something to "save America" while Trump goes golfing at Mar-a-Lago.

couldn't have picked a worse time to do this. Just before an election.

You know they'll paint this an an invasion and use it for even worse anti-immigration policies and a f-ing wall.

The media should investigate how this caravan started. The timing is just too weird to be in the news before an election. This helps the russiapublicans big time.
