just remembering back in 2000 when republicans told us we shouldn't vote for a candidate who lies.

of course they had to lie about what he said in order to turn it into a "lie", just to add to the hypocrisy of it all.

al gore, who, as senator spearheaded funding for the internet.
al gore, who, as vice-president, went to every agency in the federal government and made them put massive amounts of data online in order to make the internet useful.
al gore, who got crap from republicans and the media for promoting the "information superhighway".

he boasted about having done more than anyone else in congress to make the internet what it became.

republicans lied about what he said in order to claim that al gore had claimed to have "invented" the internet.

doesn't matter, they scared off a lot of people who somehow thought al gore was a liar and a braggart.

because republicans and the media told us that having a liar and a braggart in the white house was unacceptable.

thinking about who republicans back these days, it makes that whole episode all the more infuriating.

And throw it in rump's face every time he's on tv, or utters another lie. A great campaign ad to run nonstop, day in, day out, constantly blaring out the lies and mistruths of this administration.
