Not the best source but seems legit to me. I agree:

(33,345 posts)Trump may have kinda-sorta known that they were up to something, kinda-sorta encouraged them, didn't want to know that it was illegal to not report it to the FBI, etc., etc. Mueller may not find deliberate conspiracy, but a pattern of conveniently looking the other way that is impeachable, but not convictable.
Trump's skated on everything unethical he's ever done up to this point. Why will this work any differently?
They'll flood the zone with whatabouting and lies, make jokes and insult anyone who takes it seriously, GOP Senators will carry his water, Fox will catapult the propaganda, and America's flibberdigibbets will think "what's the point, they all do it".
IMPEACH REGARDLESS.

(108,978 posts)that he runs into while conducting his investigation, or he can simply pass it on to a US attorney, like he did with the Michael Cohen allegations.
We know from the NY Times article how Trump was handling his tax matters not that long ago. Why would have started doing it any differently? We know Mueller has been talking to Trump's chief financial officer, the accountant. Trump's no more likely to escape Mueller on financial issues than Manafort was.
Trump also has lots of ties to Simeon Migolevich's Russian crime mob. Mueller's been fighting that organization for more than a decade. Why would you think Mueller would give Trump a pass?
But this is also why Mueller's investigation is taking time. It must be incredibly complicated.

(111,098 posts)The thought that the people will help make the decision at the ballot box? If they keep the Republicans in power, it might be different than if the Democrats take power in the House?
Who knows? Trump is rallying his ass off! He wants the whole world to know that he is the greatest president in history, bar none. Undoubtedly, he feels the pressure from the Mueller investigation. (He would like to fire Mueller, but that might be a worse predicament than letting him continue to investigate?)
But, would Robert Mueller ever resort to making a political decision in a case like this?
It has been reported that he has cut some of his staff? And that the last target he was investigating was Roger Stone? (The Grand Jury will decide if he should be indicted?)
But also, we do not know how much information, if any, that he got from Paul Manafort or Mike Flynn or Michael Cohen?
Two weeks can be a long time. I don't know if Mueller has slowed down his investigation? But a lot can happen in two weeks.
Maybe he will let the voters help him make a decision on the matter??

(111,098 posts)I was very encouraged by Rod Rosenstein until that last plane ride with Trump...
Something wasn't right about that.

(115,719 posts)And you shouldn't assume anything about Rosenstein; he's been a pretty straight shooter so far. In fact, there's no point in assuming anything about the investigation because Mueller doesn't leak. Whatever we think is going on is probably wrong.
