or falsehoods, or any other label. They often present the information without context or with favorable context such as "just another argument from the 'other side'" as opposed to the blatant falsehoods that are designed to muddy the waters.

I think calling them lies opens the door for a shitton of lawsuits from the king of "sue them" for defamation or slander or some such nonsense.

"Lie" implies deliberate falsehood designed to mislead. It is a legal barrier to be sure. The problem again, is that they rarely even portray the statements as inaccurate, which fact checkers can do almost instantly.
