Question for those who think that the caravan is being financed

Last edited Wed Oct 24, 2018, 12:57 AM - Edit history (2)

Where do you see evidence of that?

These people aren't getting rides. They are walking for hours and hours under the scorching sun. They don't know where their next meal is coming from. They are surviving thanks to the generosity of the Mexican people they encounter on their way, some of them who are almost as poor, but they don't hesitate to share what little they have. It's really moving to see such love and generosity.

They are certainly not getting hotel accommodations. After an exhausting day of walking, they sleep where they can on hard concrete.

So, where is the money?

it started as a rumor that someone named Fuentes was going to pay for everyone and it was repeated on national TV by a woman joining the caravan. Then the umbers got out of control.

from a church handing out some bills to women with children. It was about $20 for each one to get snacks or milk for the kids. Hardly payment for such a journey.

They are really struggling to make the journey.

He says it is being financed by leftists in Venezuela. How would he know it is being financed by outsiders when "they don't know where their next meal is coming from"? Indeed, where is the money?

It's not really polite to dispute the name an entity chooses for itself. If they get tired of Trump twisting their name, and change it, that's one thing. But until then, it's not ours to change.

Mid twenties, in a very liberal city. I am not sure what position he holds but I do not think it is Republican or Trump. He suggested/implied Soro was behind it and started talking about Soro paying people with BLMs. I was surprised and not really because he falls into the discontented young white male. I did not want to get into conversation and find out exactly where he sat. Sometimes it is better if we just pretend, with co workers.
