But Maxine Waters? John Brennan? Eric Holder?
Plus I don't know if you still think the White House was targeted, but if you aren't aware, that was debunked several hours ago.
The entire list was a Greatest Hits list of people attacked by name at your average Trump rally.

(7,350 posts)I've looked over there on a few occasions, don't see the reason to dump on them.
I can see a reason to dump on Conservative Cave...a website that only talks about how they hate DU. Likewise, Free Republic and all their paranoid and hate filled speech. But I want them to continue practicing their free speech rights, they serve as a good example of a bad example.
But JPR? No, I don't see it. It's posts like these that make me want to join them.

(7,350 posts)I doubt you commited a survey with an adequate statistical sample size to find out this information. If you did, this economist would like to evaluate it to make sure you didn't skew the sample size.
What I believe you are offering up in merely opinion. If you stated they "sat home" on election day, you could make a case as those studies have been done. But say they vote GOP...that's pretty rich.
I vote "D" despite the Democratic Party being too conservative to me, but I know getting something I want is better than nothing.

i agree with them that bernie was an inspirational and charismatic candidate, and that perhaps we should emphasize economic issues.
i do not think any of them are capable of this kind of behavior, which does reek of trump's inflamatory rhetoric.

(12,046 posts)They hate Hillary at least as much as Trump and they are too stupid to even see the vast policy differences. If thats how you feel then it would make sense to join them, because they do not stand for what democrats stand for.

(7,350 posts)...and yes, there is questionable content. But I find it no different when the Hillary Clinton Forum was founded and blasted Obama on an hourly basis. Political views evolve with learning and experience, I should know, I used to be a Reagan loving capitalist...now, I'm pretty much opposite of the spectrum.
And yes, I did ask to join, not because I wanted, but in spite.

(12,046 posts)They have entire threads full of BS anti-Clinton conspiracy theories as bad as anything you can find at freerepublic. I won't justify that place by linking any of their bullshit and I doubt it would be allowed anyway. But if you've been reading it since the last election as you say and you are A-OK with that sexist shithole then have fun there.

(7,350 posts)I stated "I've looked over there on a few occasions". I don't follow them on any consistent basis. So my view of them is a bit muted. But given my limited experience, don't see why all the hate. When the Hillary Clinton Forum was created, there was nigh a mention of them here. But for whatever reason, people here feel threatened by them. I don't get it.
And Hillary Clinton? Sorry, but lets be blunt. Its over, way over. She isn't running again and we need new blood. If anything, they, JPR are an example of voter disenfranchisement. The GOP wins when Democrats sit out, period. Pissing on those who sit out only confirms their views. We need to find ways to communicate. But calling them stupid, assholes, etc. isn't going to work. And that's what the GOP is counting on.
jcgoldie
(12,046 posts)You already know that.
Xolodno
(7,350 posts)But at least I'm not a Republican.
But unlike Republicans, I believe there can be a meeting of the minds on the left. Thus far, I only see infighting, grudges, etc. being fought out of an election that's done and over with. We all need to work to stop the fascist pig...no offense to pigs, in the White House. Now if you want to continually piss on the disenfranchised, well, you have the right to do so. But your not going to convince me that's the better course of action.
jcgoldie
(12,046 posts)If they can't tell the difference between Trump and Clinton, then they are not "on the left". And "piss on the disenfranchised"? How exactly were they disenfranchised again?
It's obvious you are not seeing my point. With that said, someone responded with links why I should be wary, which I thanked them for. But you offered up "JPR is bad because I said so". If that was all it takes to persuade me, I would be a Republican.

(7,350 posts)It's a rarity to see Free Republic or Conservative Cave's threads...and when it happens, it's for entertainment purposes. But here we are, and I'm being told I will fit in with them....when I might have visited their site last year until today.
If indeed racism is prominent there, please provide some examples. I may very well come to your viewpoint, but thus far it has been JPR is bad because I said so. I don't make judgements based on that info.

I host both. Obama first when I arrived in 2012. Hill after she started her campaign. They are not a forum but a protected group.
Was there bad blood in 2008? Sure. However two adults with a common cause forgave and forgot. They formed a strong alliance and will always be friends.
So a reaguuun ex. You have come a long way. Congratulations. See that!!!! People can change. Evolve. Be better.
Spite? You joined JPR out of spite? Spite for who or what????
I read JPR from time to time. Classy. You do know the admin, or are they ex admin now????allowed in no uncertain terms to allow members to call Hill the C word. Oh!!!! wait wait wait!!! If YOU are anyone else call a JPRer the C word you will in fact be banned. You okay with that? Calling a woman the C word? This is the history of the site you are joining out of a 'spite' I do not understand.

was nasty and vile about Bernie and his supporters until the owner locked it down so no one could see the posts except members, they were that nasty and vile . It's not just Dems that post at JP, it's open to Dems, Independents and Conservatives. And of course there are the people who carry grudges that troll there too.
I was there for a while and then left when one of the Cons started posting CTs about Hillary.
If I see a site that promotes the same type of hatred toward Bernie Sanders as that site does toward Hillary Clinton, then I won't be a member there either.

(179,871 posts)The idiots/hate mongers on that site applauded Congressman John Lewis being booed at the national convention. https://jackpineradicals.com/boards/topic/hey-john-lewis-karmas-a-mf-aint-it/
Nance collected some of the really bad comments on that thread here https://www.democraticunderground.com/10028476265
Amazed at how the (alleged) True Progressives on JPR have so quickly morphed into Trumpettes? You shouldnt be. Thats what happens when a site full of malleable malcontents is overrun with RWers, and are willing to swallow any swill emanating from anti-Dem sources.
JPR takes the enemy of my enemy is my friend idiocy to a whole new level. They are now on-board with Mr. Tangerine Man, based solely on the fact that he saved them from the horrors that a Hillary presidency would have brought about like appointing billionaire, Goldman-Sachs-type corporatists to her Cabinet. (So glad we dodged THAT bullet!)
So beware of Trumpettes wearing JPR's version of True Progressive clothing. They were RWers (or RW wannabees) all along or sadder still, mindless sheep willing to follow the Judas Goat without hesitation, while pretending to be independent "thinkers" immune to being led by the nose to the slaughterhouse.
If you hate Congressman John Lewis, You will be happy on that website
