2. For those under 50:

This is based on an old Lucille Ball skit involving a strawberry pie factory. A comedy classic, to be sure, and more evidence that Lukovich is a genius.

12. Lukovich is a genius.

I recollected that scene instantly and I choked up.
Trump and the lies did not even register.

9. This is an incredible toon, Thank You for posting...

Luckovich has taken a famous 5 minute scene from a 1951 Lucy show, and updated it. Terrific.

10. How many years did they do reruns...and we laughed just as hard each time.

One is tempted to say...ah, the good old days of comedy. Add in Red Skelton and The Smothers Brothers. And, of course, Thanks for the Memories.

15. I grew up in the 70s and the reruns were on UHF every day

Probably a solid 20+ years of reruns. It's kind of surprising that they ever stopped.

16. I saw a few more than you...grew up in the 50s...but seems like

every time I see a clip in B/W I watch it. I hate it when they redo them in color...ruins them. John Wayne will always be in B/W for me. So will The Rifleman !!! And I Love Lucy. We really, really did love Lucy and Ricky and Ethel.

13. I love cartoonists!

They can say in an image what needs to be said, even when that might be something no one dares to speak out loud.
