6. I was at one once, but the bodies had been removed..

There was blood on the beds where one of the victims died. Bullet Holes on the walls. The police had taken away the bodies, but the police had not closed off the apartment...
..It was the Black Panther killing in Chicago on December 4, 1969..I was teaching in a high school near that shooting and the survivors were giving tours through the apartment where the shooting took place. The police had not closed the place down and roped it off. A couple of students who were in a class of mine said, would you like to go over there and take a look. I said sure, "Is it safe?"
...They said Yes, but we will walk over there with you..So we walked a few blocks and indeed the survivors were giving tours...
