4. Giving hugs, that's like the old "our thoughts and prayers are with you" line that we laugh at as

being made more to make the wisher feel good. From a Christian perspective, even though I am an atheist, it's like saying, "God bless you, be clothed and fed" and leaving it at that which doesn't do those who need to be clothed and fed any good but makes you feel good about yourself.
