(22,597 posts)being made more to make the wisher feel good. From a Christian perspective, even though I am an atheist, it's like saying, "God bless you, be clothed and fed" and leaving it at that which doesn't do those who need to be clothed and fed any good but makes you feel good about yourself.
Yeah, do something concrete, anything concrete than the usual platitudes.
