Beware "Voting on Facebook" scam

My wife, while traveling through West Point, MS, asked a young man of color in a quick mart if he was going to vote. He replied, "Yes mam, on Facebook"...
She explained he was being bamboozled and that you cannot vote on Facebook. He actually thought the Facebook "vote" was legit. OMG.

We both wonder how widespread this right-wing hoax is and how many vulnerable folks believe it.
