We take pride in our ethnic neighborhoods, our friendliness towards others, and tolerance of all religions.

This tragedy breaks our hearts. I've spent the majority of my life here in southwestern Pennsylvania, and I've never heard or seen an anti-Semitic act or statement - ever. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Rooney family in particular are proud of our immigrant history and ethnic diversity here.

This tragedy breaks all of our hearts.

In other words, we're all together in this life and country.

The Steelers organization is awesome for this demonstration of national unity. It must char Trump's ass, especially since he's got a big problem with the NFL!

My son and daughter-in-law are living on the Lower East Side, about 2 blocks from Chinatown. I love New York and I usually visit 2 or 3 times per year. But I'm from Pittsburgh originally and I always knew I'd come back here.

The Rooneys were tight with Obama don't forget. Dan Rooney was one of the first Pittsburghers to endorse Obama and donate to his campaign. He was honored with an ambassadorship to Ireland and he was the happiest man on earth! His sons are now running the Steelers' organization because Mr. Rooney passed away last year.

Thanks for your kind words. They mean a lot!

It's been adapted and adopted by the Steelers since 1962. Link: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steelmark#Pittsburgh_Steelers

FYI, last night in Vancouver, the Canucks had a moment of silence before their game with the Penguins. I'm sure the Pens will do a memorial before their game Tuesday with NY Islanders as well.

Thanks for posting this. The Penguins have powerful ethnic diversity on their team. One of the owners is Mario Lemieux, a French Canadian who played all-star hockey in his time. He has welcomed players from all over Europe and North America, including a few from Russia. Everyone gets along great too.

Penguins will wear this patch on their jerseys tonight:

They will be raffling off the game worn jerseys after the game with proceeds going to The Tree of Life Donation fund at givesmart.
