Hillary Clinton leaves door open for 2020 run: 'I'd like to be president'

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton during an event over the weekend left the door open to a possible 2020 run, saying that even though she doesn't want to run, "I'd like to be president."

Clinton's comments come as speculation has increased over whether she will launch another bid after the midterm elections. "Do you want to run again?" Recode’s Kara Swisher asked during a Friday night Q&A with Clinton.

"No," Clinton replied quickly, sparking laughter from the audience. But when Swisher pressed her further, she added: "I’d like to be president."

Clinton went on to say that "there’s going to be so much work to be done" after a Democrat "hopefully" wins the next presidential election. "The work would be work that I feel very well prepared for having been in the Senate for eight years, having been a diplomat in the State Department," she said, listing off the qualifications that she often touted during her previous run.

She sure hasn't given up all the money from her campaign contributions. Wouldn't it be cool if she would just stick it to the GOP instead of worrying that she's POTUS. The country doesn't need the drama.

Hillary has earned the right to do what she wants. Hillary raises LOTs of Money for other Dems. She shares the wealth.. she KNOWs this is a TEAM EFFORT.

Guess what? Hillary's NOT "worrying that she's POTUS..".

"The Country doesn't need the drama?" Oh really?.. what do you think the Country has now? Run by the Russians and the Saudis with their fucking Stupid Puppet and his fucking Doormats in charge of congress?

You said:
"She sure hasn't given up all the money from her campaign contributions."

My advice to you is to never donate money with a codicil saying, "Return if you don't do as I expect." It's not really a donation, then, doncha see.

I never expected Hillary Clinton to return money to me, nor have I expected other candidates to do so, any more than I would expect that from a charitable organization or a homeless person on the street. I expected Hillary Clinton to use my donation as she (or more correctly her team) saw fit.

I'd donate to her again and I'd vote for her again, just as many times as she's willing to wade through the shit to get the job.

And, just in case you missed my admittedly obscure reference before, when I said "you should duck now"...

Liz has pyrokinetic powers in the fantasy "Hellboy". I watched that movie years ago with the expectation of spending the whole time griping and growling about Hollyweird cliches, stereotypes, and cut-n-paste scenes and plots. Instead, I enjoyed it.

As you can see in the clip, slapping Liz can get a person flamed. That scene flashed through my mind when the new poster disparaged Hilz with stuff not related to a disagreement over politics.

Oh, btw, there are Nazis who get their due in Hellboy.

in 2004 when I took the bus down to Richmond, Virginia from New York. My son had flown over from Kauai to work on a house there.. and he put me up in a hotel room.

We wanted to watch a movie so he chose Hellboy.. I didn't think I would like it but I remember I did! But, that's all I remember about it.

A couple of quotes from the movie, sort of related to this thread, that might remind you why you liked it:

Abe Sapien: Remind me why I do this again.

Hellboy: Rotten eggs and the safety of mankind.

Abe Sapien: Ah!

Professor Trevor 'Broom' Bruttenholm: In the absence of light, darkness prevails. There are things that go bump in the night, Agent Myers. Make no mistake about that. And we are the ones who bump back.

Those are from:

We bump back, but I ain't eatin' rotten eggs.

Whats more important the party or one individual?
We're fighting big corporations who can spend unlimited amounts on one campaign anywhere. Correct me if I'm wrong but after 2016 election wasn't the Democratic party broke? Go ahead and put your money on wherever you think it needs to go while the Party runs out of money. We also lost the Senate and the House.

She gave her all and too many gave her the back of their hand.

I wouldn't blame her if she told all of us to screw off and lie in the bed we made. Of course, she's too much of a patriot and decent person to do that ...

We could have had her, but she was too corporatist or too establishment or Wall Street speeches or no different than Trump or not likeable enough or her emails or something ...
