While I applaud Acosta's efforts to confront the dangerous statements made by the WH spokespersons, he and other media outlets must take a more cerebral approach to their questioning, and be prepared for counter-arguments.
Letting SHS and other WH officials ramble on about 'fake news' and being 'treated unfairly' without citing specifics or going into greater detail of steps the WH will take on these matters really let them off the hook.
Ask simple yes or no questions with prepared responses, like "If the media is to blame, do you think we could have avoided these tragedies if a free media didn't exist?"
If the WH says "yes", then you can say they are against the first amendment. If they say "the fake news media is to blame" DRILL THEM ON WHICH NEWS STORIES AND MEDIA OUTLETS prompted such incidents!!!
The Media seems satisfied at getting in one-liners that the administration officials are quick to counter with their canned rhetoric. STOP BEING LAZY AND CHALLENGE THIS ADMIN!
