How come we aren't hearing about gun control all weekend?

Instead the focus is on hate crimes and the fucking moron's inciting violence. Can't the media focus on more than one thing? How did the murderer get his assault weapon?

There were a lot of stories about the MAGAbomber's criminal history and being registered as a Republican, but Florida is supposed to have really strict voter eligibility requirements, and felons need not apply. How was he a registered voter?

Court records also show that Sayoc was convicted in the 1990s in Broward County on grand theft and stolen property charges and in 2004 on a felony charge of fraudulent refunds and misdemeanor of tampering with physical evidence.

But Cesar probably passed the paper bag test or successfully lied about his criminal record, so Florida allowed him to vote.

I just know if they take their guns - they will go back to bombing black churches and synagogues and add in Sikh Temples, and Muslim Centers and, and, and . . .

They used guns - this tiem.

For me - it's about the Fascism and hateful hate. There are good people we can reach in the next few days on that argument.

I think I heard he got the weapon legally. Can't you just walk into a Walmart and buy one these days?

get washed out. I know I'm a weakling at this point. I'm tired and exhausted. I don't even want to watch the news anymore.

And everyone now knows it. An armed security officer at a school cowers in fear (understandably) and won't engage with the person
attacking the children in his charge. Armed and prepared police officers engage with an assailant at a synagogue, and THEY are killed. Even they couldn't prevent the death and horror from an unhinged person with a gun.

We all see this happen over and over and over again. We are all tired of it. It must stop.

If people start talking gun control, it will motivate voters (the "wrong" voters?) to get to the polls.
