As a retired teacher I can tell you that visual aids, especially well-made charts, can get across important facts and create more understanding than just words. I may be wrong, but it seems as though Republicans are always using charts. Maybe we can creatively use more charts to show the lies they are telling!

You show a chart and the public's eyes glaze over. However, there may be a way to sneak a chart in.
The best way to illustrate a principle is with a story, an anecdote. A chart can then punctuate the story visually and provide a base on which to build a convincing argument. But it has to be a simple chart, not too complex, or one gets the eyes glazed over effect. Once you get that, you've lost all hope. Believe me. I've been there more times than I want to admit.
