I don't know what to answer if someone asks me what I am supposed to be when I go out trick or treating with my dog tonight. I am wearing my American flag like a cape with big letters pinned down it V * O *T* E.

Any ideas?

43. It was so crowded and dark on the street that it was hard to recognize anyone's costume

no matter how big or small the trick or treater. I think my dog got more attention since she is a cutie (she's only 7 pounds so I carry her so she won't get stepped upon). I got raves from one house which had a zillion political signs or their yard. I am keeping the costume intact so I can wear it to the voting booths next Tues. They should let me in since it doesn't have a particular party or candidate anywhere on it. Do you think they'll let me in or is it against the rules?

And my previous dog was only 8 pounds so I know what you mean - I carried him everywhere and he got attention wherever he went...

I don't know if it'll be a problem when you go to the polls since you're not campaigning - but you're sure to get noticed!

usually it is republicans who wear the flag & it's been the dems calling out for people to vote so ...? i don't know if they can make a judgement on that costume and call you out for campaigning or not.

46. That is why I went out and bought the flag last Spring.

I was really sick and tired of seeing tons of flags carried by tRump supporters at all the Resistance rallies and events I attend. They act like they own it. I am a patriotic American too, damn it! The reason I made it into a cape was so that my hands would be free to carry my protest signs....I am practical.
