Trump's impeachment

Today I'm weighing the pros and cons of a Dem house filing an impeachment bill. I'm pretty certain that some congress critters will want to do so right away. While others will want to hold hearings. Others wait for Mueller's report. Others do nothing since the Senate probably won't have trhe votes to convict, so get on with passing Dem legislatiion.

I'm in favor of House hearings and waiting ffor the Mueller report before deciding about impeachment. Your thoughts please?

If Mueller comes up with something, we can address Impeachment then.

it makes it look like you're jumping to a predetermined conclusion.

it works much better to say there are things worth investigating, then investigate the crap out of them, and only then, with results in hand, including mueller's report, do you then say if impeachment proceedings are warranted.

When the evidence for criminality builds the closer to the 2020 elections there will be Republican Senators that will have the weigh their reelection chances on whether they vote for or against conviction.

I think blocking all of his agenda while having hearings will drag it closer to the 2020 elections and put more pressure on Republican Senators to do the right thing.

Let's get one thing accomplished before we start a process we need to plan for, and planning can only start if we win the election of enough Congress members do what we have in mind.

Until Senate Republicans turn on Trump (highly unlikely IMHO) impeachment is basically a waste of time.

Just my two cents

The legal system will catch up to Trump in 2 years after he leaves the presidential legal shield. RICO will happen.

Tie the buffoon up in investigations. Tie every republican up in investigations. Do what can be done re Kavanaugh. Impeachment not necessary. And of course, pence will be worse in many ways. Plus, the buffoon is likely to get worse, so he’s s great recruiting tool. All we gave to do is keep fingers crossed that he doesn’t start a war. Not s small problem, but one that may be manageable.

either Mueller or a Democratic House---preferably both---provide as much clear evidence of his crimes and malfeasance as possible before he
is impeached. I am not saying "keep our powder dry"; I'm saying let's do it right and get it done.

15. Trump is obviously worthy of impeachment. The question is would it backfire on us?

He isn't going to be convicted in the Senate. On the other hand, do we really want to only do the right thing when we have the votes to win?
