The republicans that are left will be from the most partisan districts, hence, the most rabid.

(27,893 posts)Not that I'm optimistic, but maybe if it is a BIG turn over, some might find the spine to speak up, in a public forum, and say the same things they are sharing OFF the record to colleagues on the Democratic side of the aisle.

(19,754 posts)Or they aren't even running for re-election for the same reason -- 37 House GOPers declined to run for re-election in 2018. I still think those like Corker, Flake, and Ryan are evil regressive scumbags but they are less insane than a lot of the GOP in Congress. And that's the bit that is going to be left.
