each serving multiple precincts. My friend and I had both voted early, but were curious to see what turnout looked like. Voting started at 6 am. No outdoor lines. Crowded parking lots. These are two rather large venues, so that doesn't mean there were no lines in side, and early voting has had crazy large turnout - so perhaps fewer left to vote on election day? *Note that on last Thursday evening, it was reported that Indiana early voting, with 4 more days of early voting still left to happen, already exceeded 450,000 compared to around 150,000 total in 2014.

At each place we stopped and talked to a couple of people handing out literature on behalf of candidates, to ask how turnout seemed to be going. They indicated it had been nonstop busy for the first 2 hours. One young lady (guessing first election cycle) enthused that they had seen more people in the first two hours today, than across the full day in the primary. I liked the anecdote, and didn't have the heart to tell her how small turnouts are for any primary - but especially during a midterm. But I loved, loved, loved her enthusiasm.
