Leisner, the man who became world famous for an anti-LGBT protest gone wrong, has died suddenly at the age of 65. According to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune, the father of four abruptly passed away while sitting in his car, waiting for his two sons to finish their Saturday afternoon tennis practice.

It's a shame he (presumably) wasn't able to see the truth before he died. I believe in redemption, but it looks like he checked out before it happened. Sad. He'll be remembered now as a hateful bigot.

(53,661 posts)Out of the car and sit closer to the kids playing tennis. I think most right wingers suffer from fatty livers and constipation.
His silly action with the Cheerios may have been a hate-radio induced fugue state, for all we know, not his regular behavior.
I'm betting he watched a lot of Fox Noise, or got suckered into listening to right wing religionists. They sold him the idea he needed to save the world from 'teh gay.'
What General Mills gave its employees was none of his business. There's a scripture about that.

(103,856 posts)He died alone in his car....doing his "dad-thing", but his last act of any recognition is his being a total IDIOT, lighting cereal on fire to protest gay people?
sadly ironic..

(1,510 posts)but besides the homophobia- what is a 65 year old man doing with sons (plural) young enough to need a ride to the tennis courts? It just seems kind of selfish to me to have children at such an advanced age that they have a very high risk of growing up without you.
