BTW, I am well aware of how much that hurts. I was off work 2 wks with one cracked rib and bruised ribs on the other side, and I was only 51yo. Was taking some type of pain med (from Tylenol w/ codeine down to alternatiing 3 reg Tylenol w/ 3 reg Advil, down to normal doses) for 6 wks.

Happened to my grandmother with bruised ribs around that age. (Doctors were amazed they weren't broken)

Rib injury had her breathing shallow, which helped bring on pneumonia. She was a week in the ICU, thankfully she pulled through
