Trump having a meltdown on television right now.

I am at a loss for words. The man is a raving lunatic. He has just gone through a laundry list of all his grievances and imagined injustices. He is spewing every conspiracy theory he read on Infowars and Fox.

I am so frightened for our country. Trump is completely detached from reality.

It's really that simple.

Sure he's his kid, sure he 'cares about him', probably even loves him ... to the extent that a narcissist is capable of that emotion.

But I really don't think that'd be enough to drive him batshit. Only a threat to himself personally ... losing a bunch of money, being horribly embarrassed, getting impeached, going to jail ... HIMSELF.

He is 100% about HIMSELF. Self-interest is literally his only driver, in life, period.

I think we're going to see that change. The Republican Senators must be terrified. Ted Cruz came damned close to losing his seat. Nearly 2/3rds of the legislators that Trump campaigned for LOST. Championing the Donald is no longer politically astute. And they all know it. They have gotten all that they can out of him, and it's time to cut him lose and groom Pence to take over.

Why do some dudes fall in to conspiracy theories as they age? I've seen it time and again. I've seen it with a few women too, but at an earlier age and they're usually cray cray to begin with. But seemingly normal men age and turn in to loonies! Is it FOX?

Volunteer work would sure be the best way to circumvent this but to them it is too "girly". Just turning off Fox and taking a walk would help. Many of them have always needed direction because they are not self motivated in thought or deed, so they glum on to whatever is mentally simple.

Trump cannot expand his base so he feeds on their rejection falling into conspiracy theories. Trump is an authoritarian at his worst a hopeless Narcissit.

Fri Nov 9, 2018, 12:43 PM

Old folks, especially older dudes, develop a sense of entitlement as they age. They should get their way because they've spent more time on this Earth and thus know better than the impudent upstarts all around them. When they don't get their way, they get bitter and start looking for things to blame. And since they have a lot more time on their hands than they did when they were younger, they are able to dive much deeper down the conspiracy rabbit hole.

Conspiracy theories become a convenient substitute for the "wisdom" they think they've automatically gained because of all their years.

I read a long time ago that one of the reasons that his divorce settlement with Ivana was sealed was because it mentions he had a nervous breakdown. Eating Big Macs and washing quaaludes down with Diet Coke isn't going to help.

Unfortunately our congressmen were not there. One congressman sent a staffer, but that was it.

Even the group that protested at the airport when Trump implemented the immigration ban wasn't there. (And they're usually at everything)

When Trump had the Executive Order to stop DACA several congressmen, state reps, city council were there. They held a large press conference.

When Trump was caging children: Our congressmen were there, so were our state reps, rabbi's, christian clergy etc.

Our protest evolved into a litany of complaints: Medicare for all, immigration etc etc
It wasn't focused on the Russian investigation.

On the way home, I was listening to NPR. Someone was talking about the Russia investigation: I said, "I recognize that voice".

It was my congressman.

This event needed to be extremely focused.

At least one of TV stations was there. I need to check the newspaper.

It is important that the media cover these events.

I think I will go to Sen Cruz and Cornyn's office. They are creeps, but they need to hear from their constituents.

I honestly think the best course of action is to let him keep doing what he is doing - he is making an absolute fool of himself and the whole world is noticing. People will eventually get tired of his schtick and that is already starting to show.
