John Kerry may have once been the countrys top diplomat, but the gloves are off on Twitter.
The former secretary of state delivered a sharp rebuke of Fox Newser Greg Gutfeld Sunday, calling him a complete fool after Gutfeld lashed out at him with a personal insult.
It all started when Kerry commented on President Donald Trumps decision to skip a visit to a World War I cemetery near Paris on Saturday because of rainy weather.

Thats when Gutfeld jumped in, tweeting at Kerry, U didnt stop ISIS. you sent James Taylor. Plug your knothole, Captain Driftwood.
Less than 24 hours later, Kerry hopped back on Twitter to wish the cable personality a Happy Veterans Day along with a pertinent message.

Nothing against bartenders but Gutfield was just looking for a job. He hosed th or "Red Eye" focused on the 2 am bar crowd. Didn't work. He edited Maxim for three years.

(18,464 posts)As they say down here in Australia.
Which by the way went all out here in Sydney and in Canberra, where we spent several days and visited the Australian War Memorial, paid sincere homage to ALL of those who served, including the Americans in wars of the last century.
I highly recommend visiting Sydney and Canberra ANZAC memorials. Trump is misstepping bigly on our allies around the world.

I've long admired the efforts of the Aussies and others that served for freedom. That, of course, includes the fight by the aboriginals to have control of their own lives.
Unlike Donnie Bone-Spurs who couldn't walk a NYC block.

(56,833 posts)but, I believe 3-4 years back, Rand Paul said something to the effect that "hawks in the Republican Party" are responsible for ISIS. Which was maybe the last time he was honest.

Now its a disorganized religious extremist 'movement' ,back then someone gave them the new Toyota trucks & funded 'paychecks' for followers.

(59,808 posts)The Fox attacks have been repeated constantly from the RW on twitter. Neither has any validity. Kerry and Obama built the coation that fought ISIS successfully - leaving a weak rememnent when they left office. As to James Taylor, he was a very good friend of Kerry's and was in Europe at the time. He is very popular in France. Not to mention, when Kerry came, French radio covered his about 20 - 30 minute speech given in French live ending with James Taylor, who is very popular singing "You've got a Friend" - which matched that Kerry was saying that the US was there for France. (Kerry, whose mom was born and lived until she fled (on a bike) when the Germans captured Paris as a young woman was and is popular in France -- unlike Trump.)
