Conservative Bill Kristol: Working to save the Republican Party from Trump (VIDEO)

I recently attended a conference by an organization affiliated with the Coffee Party USA, the Bridge Alliance, a group working with groups from all ideologies attempting to coalesce on solutions. The Weekly Standard's Editor at Large Bill Kristol used his speech to excoriate the GOP as he said he is trying to save the Republican Party from Donald Trump. It was a remarkable speech.

and campaigning on doing everything they can to destroy people, then this will be a futile effort.

2. Maybe Mr. Kristol should have thought about that over the past 25 years or so...

..when his beloved party was making overtures to and appealing to people with these very same ideas (nationalism, protectionism, anti-intellectualism, bigotry, etc.). I don't really recall him speaking up before this. Or is it just that he wants those things to be more covert and less overt? In which case....tough. You opened this pandora's box now you have to deal with the consequences Bill.

Trump didn't happen overnight. For years, Republicans have been paving the way for the Tea Party, Freedom Caucus, AND of course, Donald Trump. No Mr. Kristol, let the party go. It is too late to salvage anything. Best to start over again from scratch, but this time, don't cater to far right fringe groups, bigots, white nationalists, and Evangelicals.

You and your cronies created this monster and now it has turned on you. You should have seen it coming.

Bill Kristol was cofounder of the Project for the New American Century. All the signers of that little gem should be in jail.

He helped the GOPpee party to devolve to its present fascist state.
